Takara Yamato : Part 1, The Cross Sectional Series

Alright, after several tanks review, let start off with something different now, but still is in the military scope.  The review will be about Takara 1/700 IJN Yamato the Cross Sectional series from their Micro World series.  Basically this is a pre painted semi model kit.  The Yamato itself was divided into section of 7 ship parts which you can display in separated pieces or combined to form the Yamato.
Takara Micro World Yamato

Takara release 3 version of Yamato which also in correspond with the refit it received during the war.  The first version is the Yamato Initial Version, as a Secret Rare Version of the kit, depicts Yamato after she finished the commissioning and the first time she enter service.  The second is the Battle of Marianas Version, after her first refit.  This version is often called by other as Musashi also, since her sister ship, IJN Musashi sunk in this configuration.  While the last is the Ten Ichi Go Version, after her 2nd or last refit and sunk after a failed suicide mission.

The section roadmap
I will have to make the review in several parts, since if I make it in one then it will be too long.  So for the first part, we shall talk more on the boxes she came in since this is the common parts and all of the version will come in the same box.
It came in a brown box to protect the inner box.  The box has the Yamato and Made in China written all over it.
The brown box in the back

Open the brown box you have the inner box that holds the 2 set or 14 boxes of the Yamato Trading Figures.  The inner box has pictures of the finished Yamato in the Ten Ichi Go version.

Front View

Open the inner box, you have additional paper cards again showing the Yamato.  The trading figure box also covered in white wrap paper to avoid scratching. Very neat.

Additional Card

In side you have two rows of the Yamato Trading Figures.  Each is a row of 7 boxes.  The box clearly shows the section of the ships, so by buying a complete box, you get 2 complete ships, but you cannot know which version of the ship that you will get until you open the little boxes.  But to make sure you get all the section in one ship version you must make sure you get all the boxes from the same row.
2 rows, means 2 set of Yamato

7 Section Yamato

So here is the view of each boxes for each section.

All 7 of them
Section 1 :
Is the Bow of the Ship.  There are 2 options of this, the Brown Decked for the Yamato Initial Version and the Dark Decked for the other 2 version. So only 2 variant on this section.  Additional rare item are the small Yamato Electromagnetic Boat, though to me this means little.

Section 2 :
Is the Forward main gun or turret A.  There are also only two version of this section, the Initial Version and the later version.

Section 3 :
Is the Forward main gun or turret B in the super firing position and the forward secondary gun.  There are 3 version available, the Initial, Battle of Marianas, and Ten Ichi Go version.

Section 4 :
Is the bridge section.  Also available in three version.

Section 5 :
Is the Funnel section and the rear superstructure section, also has 3 version.

Section 6 :
Is the rear Main Gun and rear 2 secondary gun.  Also has 3 version available.

Section 7 :
Is the rear hangar deck or stern section of the ship and the propellers.  It has 3 versions available.
